The Agape centre is a Christian-based centre which aims to serve the surrounding, mainly Arabic-speaking community.

We run a bookshop providing a wide range of resources including Arabic books, music and films along with a growing collection of English materials.

The centre also serves as a coffee room offering drinks and snacks and providing a friendly and quiet haven for people to get away from the hustle and bustle of London life. It is a great place to come to talk and pray through issues, chat or read about the pressing questions of life or simply just to get to know people.

We also hold events and run training programmes that aim to encourage people to enter into discussion with people of other faiths and to better equip them to do so.

We are running English and Arabic language courses at the centre, providing a much needed service for the local community and also help to bridge the gap between the two people groups and open up the way for deeper mutual understanding and appreciation.

The London Arabic Evangelical Church has a vision to serve the local, particularly Arabic-speaking community within all their different walks of life and no matter what their background; be they Muslim or Christian, residents or visitors. The Agape Arabic Christian Centre (AACC) was established in 2000 and has been greatly blessed through being able to develop some wonderful friendships within the community and see the work we do and the services we provide grow and benefit those around us. Hundreds of people have visited the centre over the years from very different backgrounds and speaking many languages.

LONDON- A Multi-cultural and multi-faith melting pot!

Various studies of religions in the United Kingdom show that Islam is now the second largest religion in the country. A national newspaper in January 2005 reported that London's Muslim population was over 600,000. This is more than 12% of the London population. It is therefore becoming increasingly important that we encourage understanding and work on building bridges between Muslims and Christians in a society that is becoming more and more secularized. Providing a safe place to talk about faith issues and opening up the way for respectful and careful dialogue can only be a blessing in this increasingly multi cultural and multi faith city of ours!
